Subcutaneous Craniofacial Emphysema Following Endodontic Treatment: Case Report with Literature Review

Subcutaneous emphysema is a well-known and recognized complication in oral surgery, due to high pressure rotating instrument use, mostly related impacted tooth surgery. Although root canal treatment endodontic therapy considered as safe standard procedure, affected by low incidence of complication, subcutaneous the choice mechanical tools or consequence use air stream dry operating field should be potential cause. The can spread through soft tissue from apex an iatrogenic perforation, suddenly leading this unusual complication. It very important for dental practitioner promptly identify adverse event know how manage situation.
